Public Art Concept
Mother Fools Coffee House
The Public Art Concept was approved by the MNA membership at the October, 2011 membership meeting. The membership also approved a $100,000 capital campaign to support the Public Art initiatives.
Williamson Gateway Sculpture
In October 2011 the MNA membership selected artist Erika Koivunen to develop the Williamson Street Gateway Sculpture to be located in the median of the 600 block of Williamson Streeet.
Murals on Private Property
The MNA Art and Culture Committee in partnership with the Williamson Street Art Center, Willy Street Co-op and Vital Voices Global Leadership Network brought Brazilian artist Panmela Castro to the neighborhood in July, 2012.
Panmela's mural can be viewed at the Willy Street Co-op and is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood and the City of Madison.
